Dr. Christian Lefèvre brings over 30 years of professional experience across diverse tourism markets, including the Comoros, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Seychelles, and Mauritius. Throughout his career, he has been involved in launching and managing tourism operations, developing safari and destination-based experiences, and contributing to major industry initiatives across these regions.
His work reflects a deep understanding of tourism development in varied cultural, environmental, and economic contexts. Operating across multiple destinations has allowed him to engage with both emerging and established tourism markets, strengthening his expertise in destination management, operational leadership, and long-term industry planning.
Since 2006, Dr. Lefèvre has served as Founder and Managing Director of Coquille Bonheur, where he established one of Mauritius’ leading destination management companies. Under his leadership, the organisation has become recognised for its sustainable approach and service standards. His professional achievements include recognition as CEO of the Year, among other industry accolades, reflecting consistent leadership and organisational growth over time.
Academic Foundation and Professional Engagement
Dr. Lefèvre holds an MBA and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, as well as a Fellow of the Mauritius Institute of Directors. These qualifications support his extensive executive background and reflect long-standing engagement with governance, logistics, and leadership frameworks relevant to the tourism and hospitality sector.
His academic journey reached a further milestone through the completion of the Professional Doctorate in Tourism Management with European International University – Paris. The programme provided a structured platform to connect academic inquiry with real-world industry practice, reinforcing a career shaped by reflective leadership, applied research, and professional rigor.
