Bachelor of Education at EIU-Paris: Mrs Batool Kazmi’s preparation for success!

The origin of educators

When did we realize we want to be a teacher? Was it when we had a tutoring session for the first time? Or maybe when we walked up to the front of our class with a topic we were passionate about? Or perhaps when we were inspired by a teacher who truly loved their subject?

Whatever the form, teaching is an art that is learned in many ways (and several of them are very unexpected). Most of those who have become educators started out in an everyday or simple context, and then for some reason there was a turn that led them to choose education as their profession.

However, today’s job market is increasingly demanding and as a professional grows, he or she must demonstrate through his or her expertise and qualifications that he or she has what it takes to stand out among other candidates. The Bachelor of Education (BEd.) degree from the European International University, Paris is a well-suited, accredited and internationally recognized offering that has helped professionals from around the world boost their careers.

The need for prepared educators

According to ‘Forbes’ (2023), “A bachelor’s degree in education is a great first step for entering the world of professional education. If you strive to become a teacher, you’ll need to start by getting a bachelor’s degree; most teaching positions require it.”

In this way, we realize a fundamental aspect of the educational world: We need a qualification that endorses our basic skills for the exercise of the profession. Although this may seem very bureaucratic to some, there are compelling reasons to study for a BEd.

First, a BEd. from a leading institution like EIU-Paris provides insights into various educational theories, philosophies, and practices, helping future teachers understand how students learn and develop. This includes how to design, implement, and assess curricula that meet diverse learning needs, as well as strategies for classroom management (in-person and virtual).

On the other hand, some teachers fall into the trap of “reinventing the wheel.” Without realizing it, they experiment with “new techniques” that have already been widely studied, making many mistakes. We know that making mistakes is part of the learning process but it is always possible to improve the learning scope if there is a good amount to research beforehand. A BEd. helps to delve deeper into the different techniques that have been developed throughout history, which helps each teacher who graduates from the program to find those that best adapt to their style, needs, and abilities without getting into hazing.

A testimony from a great educator

To her credit, she has an extensive list of completed courses in areas of continuing education to improve her teaching performance.

She became a Pearson Examiner at an International School and was recently recognized as a runner-up for the Outstanding International Teaching Award in Asia Region, introduced by UK qualifications from Pearson. She has been honoured with awards such as Outstanding Examiner from Pearson Pakistan and Teaching Awards for Outstanding Learners from Pearson Edexcel in 2022 and 2023.

Furthermore, her work is not limited to the classroom, but reaches a global audience through the platforms on which she writes and creates content. Ms Kazmi runs a Facebook group called “Every Child is Special” to support learners and parents around the world and one of the most important milestones in her career recently has been completing her Bachelor of Education (BEd) at EIU-Paris & attending a 3 day exclusive workshop for educators on research methodology by EIU-Paris in Dubai in July 2024.

“EIU-Paris has provided a platform in which I achieved a dream and I believe it’s a new start from me now. This is a never-ending journey and I’m blessed to have met fantastic professors as well.”

Ms Batool Kazmi

Pursuing a BEd. degree online is one of the option to advance professionally and become a modern, qualified and admired educator. Just like this brilliant alumna, we “believe in timeliness and dedication. Teachers are mentors who should always contribute positively to their students’ overall growth.”
