With nearly three decades of experience across the hospitality industry in Australia, Asia, and the Middle East, Dr. Naim Maadad has built a professional journey shaped by international exposure, operational expertise, and long-term industry engagement.
He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Gates Hospitality, leading the organisation’s portfolio of hospitality and lifestyle concepts. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he is Chairman of the Australian Business Council Dubai and Treasurer of the UAE Restaurants Group, while also serving on the boards of several hospitality-related organisations including The Middle East Food Forum and Almont Global, among others.

Dr. Maadad’s career has spanned multiple regions and hospitality environments, including Australia, Asia, and the Middle East. Throughout this time, he has been involved in the launch and operation of hotels, resorts, spas, and lifestyle food and beverage concepts across international markets.
Having been based in the Middle East for more than twenty years, he has witnessed the region’s remarkable transformation into a major global hospitality destination. This long-term presence has enabled him to develop a deep understanding of the cultural, commercial, and operational dynamics that shape the region’s hospitality landscape.
Through this experience, he has worked closely with businesses, owners, and industry partners, contributing to the development and growth of hospitality concepts aligned with evolving regional and international expectations.

Within Gates Hospitality, Dr. Maadad leads a team of approximately 700 colleagues, guiding organisational direction while supporting professional development across the company.

Across the industry, he is also regarded as a respected voice and mentor, actively supporting the growth of emerging professionals and encouraging the development of future hospitality talent.
