Khaled Mohamed’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the transformative nature of language learning. Khaled Mohamed’s Language Journey
“I was just like any other student,” Khaled begins, “I thought memorizing grammar rules was the key to English fluency. But I was wrong. I tried different courses, but something was missing.”
That “something” turned out to be the crucial element of conversational English. A chance encounter during a safari trip sparked an important and a crucial realization. “I met a safari guide who spoke English so naturally,” Khaled recalls. “That’s when it hit me: I needed to focus on listening and speaking.”
This realization led Khaled down a path of rigorous self-study, incorporating consistent listening practice and seeking weekly feedback. “It wasn’t easy,” he admits, “but I was determined. I knew that consistent effort would eventually pay off.”
And pay off it did. Khaled achieved impressive IELTS scores, a testament to his dedication. But he didn’t stop there. Driven by a passion for teaching, he pursued TEFL and phonetics certifications, opening doors to teaching positions in China and Vietnam.
“Teaching abroad was an incredible experience,” Khaled shares. “It allowed me to see the impact language education can have on people’s lives.”
Currently, Khaled is thriving in his role at a top school and university, sharing his passion for language with eager students. But his journey of learning continues. He is now pursuing a Master of Science in Innovative Education & Teaching (MSIET) from the European International University – Paris.
