We are thrilled to shine our alumni spotlight on Dr. Augustine Chui, a distinguished graduate of EIU-Paris Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Strategic Digital Leadership program. Affectionately known as GuS, Dr. Chui is a true leader and a testament to the power of combining decades of experience with a passion for continuous learning.
With over 40 years of leadership experience across public service, higher education, and media, GuS has dedicated his career to building cultures of trust and innovation. His journey has been one of continuous reinvention, whether it was leading multi-million dollar initiatives at a major Singapore media company or, in his current role, serving as a Senior Administrator and Head of Strategy at one of Asia’s top-ranked global university, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore
GuS recently achieved a major milestone, earning his DBA from EIU-Paris in July 2025. This doctoral journey led him to develop the 5Cs Leadership Playbook – a practitioner-validated framework focused on Culture, Customers, Collaboration, Community, and Continuity. This playbook is a fantastic resource for leaders who want to champion inclusive innovation and navigate complex challenges with both clarity and a human touch.
“Transformation isn’t just about systems – it’s about people, purpose, and the courage to reimagine,” GuS shares. This quote perfectly captures his belief that true innovation is rooted in human-centered values.
What’s next for Dr. Chui? He’s far from slowing down. He’s working on a practitioner playbook based on his 5Cs, launching a podcast, and building a community of like-minded scholars. He continues to mentor the next generation of leaders and advocates for values-based leadership, proving that the journey of learning and reinvention never truly ends.
