Double Honor: EIU-Paris Alumna Secures Membership in APA and EFPA

APA stands for American Psychological Association. It’s a major professional organization for psychologists in the United States, promoting the advancement, communication, and application of psychological science and knowledge and on the other hand EFPA stands for the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations. It represents the interests of psychologists across Europe and promotes the development of psychology as a science and profession

Our alumna, Dr. Sri Juliana Safri, expressed her excitement about joining the American Psychological Association (APA) and the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA), stating in her own words below:

I am incredibly honored to share my recent achievement of earning a Doctor of Psychology with Distinction, which complements my earlier Professional Doctorate in Special Education. These dual qualifications reflect a deep commitment to making a meaningful impact in special education and psychology.

There’s a purpose behind why I pursued both a professional doctorate and a PsyD. It’s not about collecting titles or accolades; it’s about equipping myself with the right tools to serve others. The Professional Doctorate gave me advanced, practical skills tailored to the specific needs of the education system, especially in Special Education. The PsyD allowed me to dive deeper into psychological theories and their application, particularly in working with individuals with special needs.

“After earning my doctorate in psychology at the EIU-Paris I was admitted to the APA, which is very important and recognizable event for my life.   APA is one of the most coveted organizations worldwide and this is the greatest highlight for future students.
